The 23-person book review committee evaluating both “Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close” and “The Kite Runner” in May found the books should continue to remain openly available to students in schools where the books were located at the time of the review. Two challenged books were recommended for Greeley-Evans School District students last month as part of the ongoing process to evaluate literature some district residents find unsuitable for public schools and students.
